Após um ano de monitoramento, a Polícia Civil de Minas Gerais (PCMG) prendeu duas pessoas, um homem de 73 anos e uma mulher, de 47, durante operação realizada na tarde dessa terça-feira (15/12), na Vila Cemig, região do Barreiro. Durante a ação, foram apreendidos 50 pés de maconha, barras da mesma droga, cinco armas de fogo, munições e material utilizado no tráfico.
Conforme o delegado Daniel Reis, do Departamento Estadual de Combate ao Narcotráfico (Denarc), o suspeito, que é ex-policial militar, comandava o tráfico de drogas na região do Barreiro e já foi preso outras vezes pelo mesmo crime. O delegado ainda acrescenta que o homem é investigado por distribuir drogas para as cidades de Ribeirão das Neves e Sete Lagoas.
As investigações, conduzidas pelo Denarc, prosseguem para elucidação total dos fatos.
